enaDyne wins IQ Innovation Award 2023
Company August 9, 2023The IQ Innovation Award 2023 goes to Freiberg for a revolutionary raw material extraction from CO2.
Double success for enaDyne: the Saxon start-up was awarded overall victory and the Chemistry/Plastics Cluster Prize at the 19th IQ Innovation Award Central Germany in Wurzen on Thursday evening for its plasma catalysis reactor. Thanks to the innovation, green chemicals and e-fuels are to be produced from carbon dioxide in the future. Preparations are currently underway to test the system in an industrial environment, for example at biogas plants.
"In order to effectively combat climate change, we must not only save CO2, but ideally also consume the greenhouse gas as a resource," said Jörn-Heinrich Tobaben, Managing Director of Metropolregion Mitteldeutschland Management GmbH, explaining the jury's decision. With its technology, enaDyne provides the decisive building block for this cycle.
