The COO will manage operations and strategy for scaling our technology. Collaborating with the CEO and CTO, you will align teams, streamline workflows, and allocate resources effectively. This role requires expertise in chemical, electrical, or industrial engineering and experience in scaling hardware technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership:
  • Develop strategies to scale prototypes to industrial-grade solutions.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Manage budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
  • Align operations with the company’s mission and business objectives.
• Project and Stakeholder Management:
  • Lead pilot plant construction and industrial deployment projects.
  • Coordinate with external partners, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Track milestones, mitigate risks, and ensure project success.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Technical Competence:
  • Background in chemical or electrical engineering; MSc or PhD preferred.
  • Proven experience scaling hardware technologies.
  • Familiarity with pilot plant design and operations.
  • Startup experience is a plus.
• Leadership and Management:
  • 10+ years of professional experience, 5+ in operational leadership.
  • Skilled in managing cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience building systems for scaling and commercialization.
• Project and Risk Management:
  • Success in managing complex technical projects.
  • Strong skills in risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Proficient in project reporting and control systems.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communicator, engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker who constructively challenges directions.
  • Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced environments.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset focused on achieving long-term goals.
